Living in Community
There are many steps to regaining control of your life and your choices - one is having a great place to live.
The philosophy behind Cornerstone is based on the dynamics of successful 2nd stage recovery. There is a great deal of research that has shown that community living for those in recovery creates a supportive environment that greatly enhances the chance for long-term recovery.
Cornerstone is established as a therapeutic community where mutual accountability, shared responsibility for community life and focus on changing one's behaviour to acheive a new life are foundational principles.
While recognizing the inherent dignity of each individual, we seek to provide the environment, guidance and support that will help each person make the changes necessary to acheive a healthy and sober way of life.
