Giving Hope Today
Christ Centred Ministry
There are three core values of our faith - Salvation, Holiness and Intimacy with God.
We proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in all we do. Its is a mission of love and restoration. It encompasses a community wide ministry where the love of God is manifested through its personnel, programs and services .
Integrity - in mission, management and method
We are honest, trustworthy, and accountable.
We believe that it is crucial to have integrity in all of our associations with service participants, the general public, businesses, supporters, and other stakeholders. We will not compromise our beliefs to gain support, or be found more accountable politically, or to increase financial resources. Everything we do must be a reflection of God and the name of the Salvation Army. Our actions must be transparent and withstand scrutiny.
We reach out to others and care for them.
We believe that it is crucial to show compassion in all of our dealings with those who fall within our sphere of influence. This compassion will encompass a demonstration of empathy, embracing, coming along side, building relationships, sympathy, speech, listening, action, and non-judgemental character.
We promote the dignity of all persons. We believe that it is crucial that each individual is valued and treated with dignity and respect in a non-degrading or condescending manner, to understand their beliefs while empowering them to develop a positive outlook about what God can do to give them hope for the future. Our efforts will be focused on increasing the dignity and value of the people in our care.
Excellence & Revelance
We strive to be the best at what we do and a model for others to emulate.
We believe that is crucial to be a service that displays innovation and effectiveness and is relevenant to the needs round us. Our practices will be measures against mission effectivness. "Best Practices" will be the guiding principle. We will be open to change as individuals and as an organization, and will encourage flexible community based approaches to meeting the needs of staff, participants and others.
We encourage and foster teamwork and partnerships. We believe that working together cooperatively and collaboratively will enable us to jointly fulfill the mission, develop a cohensive culture, fulfill our objectives and meety our goals.
We give thanks by making milestones and success and celebrating the achievements of those we serve and with our staff.
